Eiffel Tower @ Paris, France

By : Chha

When people talk about France, what is the first thing that come to mind ? Paris or The Eiffel Tower ! Eiffel Tower is so heavily promoted as the symbol of love, maybe as a sole traveler i just don't understand how Eiffel Tower can be represented as a symbol of love ? It does not look like a heart shape or a love shape, haha ! Anyway, before i stray any further, lets come back to the main topic, haha .. So, The Eiffel Tower is a wrought iron lattice tower on the Champ de Mars in Paris, France. It is named after the engineer Gustave Eiffel, whose company designed and built the tower. How nice right ? If your name can be use as a tower name, I think i am going to build a tower and name it Jay Tower ! How that sound ? haha ! (**slap slap, stop day dreaming**).

The Eiffel Tower were constructed in 1889 and soon become a global cultural icon of France and also one of the most recognizable structures in the world. The tower is the tallest structure in Paris and the most-visited paid monument, that indirectly making Paris the most visited place in the world for year 2015. Even though, Eiffel Tower is not the only nice place to visit in Paris, but let us focus on the tower in this post.

Getting There :

Getting to the Eiffel Tower is actually easy. All you need to do is just take the Paris Metro and stop at either Champ de Mars Tour Eiffel Station or Bir-Hakeim Station. There is actually a lot of metro station around the Eiffel Tower, so you can choose any and it only cost €1.80.

Entrance Fee :

The Eiffel Tower is divided into three level and access to these three level has different entrance fee. Buying tickets here sometimes can be really time consuming because of the long waiting line. It might take you an hour or more just to get tickets and another 30 minutes or so to clear security check.

The ticket

So from the entrance fee, you may choose which floor you would like to access. Just some short note here. During my visit, i took the ticket to the top because i don't want to walk up the stairs to 2nd floor because the tower is so tall high up but if you are physically fit enough, then you may try. The lift will not take you directly up to the top floor, you will need to change another lift at 2nd floor.

One of those few weird things i see at the Eiffel Tower is this kissing spot ! There is actually a kissing place on the Eiffel Tower, hahaha ! It makes me want to Roll On the Floor and Laugh, why is there no place for people to ROFL after seeing this ? hahaha ! They should have one especially for solo traveler like me visiting the Eiffel Tower, at least I don't have to roll down the stairs laughing, haha !

Guess what, there is actually a lot of couple taking turn kissing at the kissing spot to take selfie .. haha ! it takes me some time to stand there waiting to snap a photo with no couple standing in the way, haha !

Ok, now, the 1st floor of the Eiffel Tower is said to be new, but to me, i feel that there is nothing much to do and see at the 1st floor, maybe because it is still new ? but i still walk all the way down from 2nd floor to the 1st floor using stairs which is rather far, just to see the newly installed transparent glass floor.

Another kissing spot (^.^)v

Visiting the Eiffel Tower is nice, love the view from the top of the tower and also the cold wind of Paris blowing at the top level. The surrounding area at the Eiffel Tower is good for photography too, regardless how far you go, you will still see the tower. It is worth a visit or should i say a must to visit for those love birds out there when visit to Paris, haha !
