Once again G Hotel is celebrating Christmas and spreading the cheer by kick starting the annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at G Hotel Gurney Lobby.
It was just last Friday were i was able to witness the Tree Lighting Ceremony at G Hotel Gurney done by their General Manager of G Hotel.
The Christmas Tree sits at the Grand Lobby of G Hotel and stand 20 feet tall. It is decorated in the theme of green with handmade ornaments, lighting and a stars right on top of the Christmas Tree.
At the same time they also launch their charity program entitled "A Time To Give" as one of their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives for more than 7 consecutive years now.
The charity program aim to aid the 32 children from the Salvation Army Penang Children's Home. Hanging here at the smaller Christmas Tree by the side of the Grand Lobby are cards that represent each child's special wish for this Christmas, together with their names, age and gender. Should any of you wish to grant any of these simple wishes, please select a card at G Hotel Gurney, buy the gift and place both the card and the gift there by 16 December 2016. The children will be invited to the hotel on 21 December 2016 to receive and open up their presents. Do join G Hotel in making this a success and a wonderful Christmas year for the children from the Salvation Army.
At the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony, there are also performance by the children from the Salvation Army. Christmas carols can be heard across the lobby, sung by the children from the Home bringing everyone into the festive mood. It is then followed by dance performances which managed to entertain and showcase their talents.
Refreshment were also served throughout the night. Talk about food, i just can't resist to get my hands on it ! hahaha .. ! So munch munch munch, that is basically what i did the entire night while enjoying the performance from the children. The Christmas and holiday mood is kicking in, haha ! Hopefully with your kindness and support, this year Christmas will be a wonderful and blessed one for the children at Salvation Army Penang Children's Homes.
