The Haven All Suite Resort @ Ipoh, Perak

How many of you heard of The Haven All Suite Resort which is located in Ipoh, Perak ? Probably many of you heard of it or even stayed there before, while for those who don't, lets take few minutes of your time to read through this post and briefly understand the reason why i personally recommend this Resort for your next stay when traveling in Ipoh !

The Haven All Suite Resort is set in nature on the edge of a virgin forest and amidst the flora and fauna of a prehistoric site dating over million years ago yet located only 15 minutes drive away from the city centre. It is possibly the only one in its kind anymore in the world where you can live by the primary forest and in the city at the same time.

Showcasing nature at its best, this beautiful resort hotel fronts an ever-flowing lake surrounded by lush, evergreen virgin forest. The clear crisp mountain air in this pristine environment and the breathtaking views of nature are an everyday reality for guests staying here.

The Haven embodies all the convenience of modern city living that combines the best of three worlds, which are the quality and luxury, locational convenience and prehistoric setting. It is also a place suitable for guest from three different generations, which is the parents, children and grandparents, of which i would say, a one stop place for parents to relax after a long work week, the grandparents to enjoy the beautiful green scenery and for children to run around playing while exploring new things.

For those of you who would like to enjoy a luxury vacation while being close to nature yet not lose touch with the city life The Haven All Suite Resort does just that to cater to your vacation need. Apart from being a luxury resort hotel, The Haven is also a residential area with a total of 512 units with 150 being the resort hotel suites separated into 3 towers namely Acacia Tower, Bayan Tower and Cycas Tower with 26 storeys each. Everything here in The Haven All Suite Resort is being carefully plan and design down to the smallest details, from the ingredient they use to prepare their food to the way their building is being design and from the utilization of every single space in their hotel room to the way they preserve the nature surrounding The Haven. This is the reason why The Haven is living up to their 5 stars hotel standard !

Every hotel room at The Haven is properly decorated and design to give every guest the sense of home and comfort. The interior design of the hotel rooms is done in a way where every square foot is being fully utilised and the quality of materials and finishes are the highest that a development of this stature can afford. The interior follows a natural earth tone that is eye pleasing to the surrounding greenery. The design internally is luxurious with advance fibre-optic connection network and generous power plug points making it easy for guest to charge up their electronics devices.

During my visit to The Haven All Suite Resort, I stayed in the 3 Bedroom Family Suite where every bedroom has its own toilet equipped with hot shower and toiletries.

The Main Room

The Main Room, is the largest among the three rooms from the Family Suite and it is a fully functional hotel room itself with everything a traveler need. There is a television, work table, ironing board, hair dryer, a full size cupboard, two single bed and a clean fully equip bathroom with bath tubs and hot shower.

Second Room

The Second Room is a smaller version of The Main Room and yet, it is a fully functional room just like The Main Room. Both rooms have an amazing view that looks out the the huge Lake and green mountain at The Haven.

Single Room

The Single Room, is a more private room with only one single bed in it and a working table. While the bathroom is located at the common area outside the room. Every bathroom which is in the suites are fully equip with its own toiletries and clean towels.

All the three rooms are connected to a common area where families or friends can sit together spending time with each other. There are comfortable sofa, television and a big dining table for everyone in the suite to dine together on food that guest either order from the Cuisines Restaurant in The Haven or cook by them self in the suite's kitchen.

There are also some snacks provided by The Haven All Suite Resort which are complementary that you can choose to munch on.

Cuisines Restaurant

Other than just munching on snacks or cooking the food by yourself, The Haven All Suite Resort has a nice and comfortable restaurant which is ready to serve you any meal of the day. The restaurant is divided into two sections, which is the indoor and outdoor part of the restaurant with plenty of seating place for you to dine in. Cuisines Restaurant promote healthy eating and with that in mind, the food prepared here is by using Natural Food with No MSG, Preservative or Artificial Flavourings. Their Chef purchased their Fresh Ingredients from the market on Daily Basis to make sure that their food is prepared fresh for their guest everyday.

Breakfast serve here range from our Malaysian local cuisine like the famous Nasi Lemak and Fried Noodles to some Western Breakfast. The Premium Breakfast Set Menu consist of the American Set which is a Fresh Mixed Green Salad, Farm Fresh Eggs with choice of Omelette, Scramble. Fried 'Over-Easy', Sunny Side Up served with Hash brown, Premium Chicken Sausages or Sliced Chicken and Baked Beans.

While for the Continental Set, it is made from Fresh Mixed Green Salad, Selection of Freshly Baked Croissant, Danish and Bread from the Kitchen served with Butter and Homemade Jam. For those who like local Malaysian Set there is the Nasi Lemak with Condiments which include Fried Anchovies, Peanut, Cucumber Slices, Hard Boiled Egg and The Haven Special Homemade Sambal.

Guest may try their Oriental Set of Fried Quality Haven Noodles with choice of Hor Fun, Mee Hoon or Yellow Mee. Hot Porridge with Condiments which include Salted Egg, Anchovies and Peanuts plus Two Farm Fresh Three Quarter boiled Eggs is also available if guest prefer something light. All sets comes with Fresh Tropical Fruits, Chilled Juices with choice of Orange, Mango, Apple or Guava. Coffee and Tea is also available for those who may want to skip those Chilled Juices.

Dinner at The Haven All Suite Resort brings a different experience for guest dining at Cuisines Restaurant. Food here is carefully crafted and prepared to make sure that it preserve the freshness of the ingredient they use. 

During my visit, i tried their Mushroom Soup which is pour into a bowl looking bread. Though it is serve hot, the bowl which is made from bread is able to hold it without becoming soft. The main dish the their fresh Grouper Fish which is very soft, fresh and juicy. There are some tomato and vegetables at the side. The sides is refreshing making it very appetizing. My diner here at The Haven All Suite Resort ends with a simple Caramel Pudding dessert.

Staying at The Haven All Suite Resort, you will never get bored ! There are few activities that are organized specially for their guest. You may join their Yoga Classes which is divided into three types of interesting Mat Yoga, Beer Yoga and Yin Yoga with Yoga Mat provided.

Other than that, you may join their Green and Eco Focused CSR Programmes where you can choose from a range of activities to participate in. Like the Pick and Eat activity where you can choose and pick from a variety of The Haven fresh produce and herbs. It is an interactive and engaging activity that excited one to not only learn more about healthy fresh foods but actually eat them. You may also consider joining their Farming and Gardening activity where you plant a tree or flower and learn weeding, planting seeds, digging or watering crops and how to make plant container using recycled materials. Building Birdhouse or Rain Barrel is also something interesting to look out for. It allow guest to learn how to construct and attractive bird friendly safe for the friendly fliers or how to collect, harvest and use rainwater for planting purpose.

If you are here for a Team Building with a group of friends or colleague, The Haven got you covered with some team activities or if you want something more challenging, you may try their Survival Camp too. If being outdoor is not your thing, then you may spend some time utilizing all the many facility that The Haven got to offer. The Haven boasts an unparalleled lifestyle of luxury and convenience which includes a signature designed seahorse shape infinity 5-level swimming pool, a fully equipped gym, a spa, steam room, 600 metres jogging track, badminton and squash courts, tennis court, basketball court, meditation deck, business centres, children’s playground, junior playroom, ballroom and conference facilities, an amphitheater and shuttle van services. It also comprises two gourmet restaurants housing the best in Local, Asian, Western and Mediterranean cuisines. The Haven All Suite Resort is by far the most facility-complete Resort i have ever seen !

There is not a single tree cut down nor were any hills blasted. Regardless of what ever lifestyle you may love, The Haven All Suite Resort in Ipoh, Perak is the place for a prefect getaway !
