BIG CRAB ! BIG CRAB ! That is the name of this Hawker Center which is located along Jalan Dr Lim Chong Eu highway. If you are driving from the Penang Bridge heading towards Georgetown, you will see the BIG CRAB which in on your right as you approve Jelutong Fortune Park area.
What would Big Crab Street Food be without their famous big crab seafood which is serve here at the Big Crab Street Food restaurant. At first glance, Big Crab Street Food looks like a very high class restaurant serving high class expensive food but as i walk in to it, i notice that the food there are mostly hawker food which range from noodles, dim sum, small bites food and some seafood. The price is reasonable though it is slightly higher compare to those hawker stall at the road side, but given the comfortable and nice environment setting, the price is reasonable.
There are a lot of hawker stalls here in Big Crab Street Food, you will be spoiled for choice when you come to dine here. Depending on what you order, some of the food is tasty, some is just average, it also depends on what you favorite is. What i tried during my first visit here is the Dim Sum from the Dim Sum stall, the Siew Mai is tasty and i love their Jagung Pau too.
The Kolo Mee is good. You can choose up to three different flavor for one plate of Kolo Mee. For me, i feel that the Original Taste Kolo Mee which is the noodle with lighter colour is a bland therefore i prefer the other two flavor. Other than that, the Kolo Mee is good but the serving size is small.
I wanted to munch on something light, so i ordered Muar Chee. The Muar Chee here is slightly expensive, it is RM 5.00 per plate but it taste good. I like the peanuts as they are grinded so fine and its texture is nice to chew on.
