Welcome everyone to this very unique looking restaurant located inside the heart of Auto City at Seberang Perai, Penang. Kushiyaki is a Japanese Restaurant with some touch of western food. With this many flag outside the restaurant, you won't miss it and can easily spot it.
At night, Kushiyaki is a perfect place for a cup of beer or two. If you would like to go for their Japanese Beer, they have some too, that is why there is a nice looking and comfortable bar at the side of the restaurant.
But if you are not there for beer and is looking for something nice to eat, Kushiyaki do serve some tasty Japanese food but the price is unforgiving too, haha !
Kimchi Udon RM 26.00
During my visit, i order a big bowl of Kimchi Udon and a small bowl of Garlic Fried Rice, strange enough, i find having Garlic Fried Rice with the Kimchi soup from the Kimchi Udon is really nice. The Kimchi Udon is not very spicy but i love the taste of the Kimchi. There are a lot of ingredient being put into it. It is serve hot, in fact, it is still boiling when it reach my table, there is a heater at the bottom to keep it hot.
Garlic Fried Rice RM 12.00
The Garlic Fried Rice is really fragrant, probably due to the Garlic used. It taste good but the serving portion is small. It is actually enough for me as i still order other food from Kushiyaki's menu to try.
Teppan Chicken Noodle RM 22.00
Other than Japanese food, there is also a choice of Western Food. This hot plate of Chicken Noodle is actually a combination of Pasta and black pepper chicken. You can choose to either have noodle or rice. Overall, the food here is tasty, service is good and environment is comfortable too. In terms of price, i feel it is a bit pricy.
