Being name after the famous spice derived from the flower of Crocus Sativus, the Saffron Cafe does live up to its expectation with good food, good environment and good service. Located at the Lower Ground floor of Prangin Mall in Penang Island. Finding the place is not easy especially if you are not familiar with the layout of Prangin Mall. So to make things easier look for Parkson in the Mall then go to the Ground Level of Parkson, exit Parkson and if you walk straight out from the entrance of Parkson there will be escalator on your right. Take the escalator down to Lower Ground and you will see Saffron Cafe on your front left.
This salad is nice with some japanese wasabi in it.
We piglets like the environment of the cafe, though there is no fancy decoration but its a comfortable place to dine in. Their service is good, the waiter and waitress there is constantly checking on their customer to see if they are able to attend to them instantly. When ever we needed anything, what we did was to turn around and wave at the waiter there and they will instantly notice and attend to us. Food serving is fast as well, even before we manage to finish taking photos for this post, they started to serve food instead of the need to wait with empty table.
