Being located somewhere along the busy street of Jelutong, Que Huong Toi Vietnamese Cafe is serving some of Vietnam tasty food ranging from the famous Vietnamese Beef Koay Teow Soup to their famous Vietnamese Drip Coffee.
Que Huong Toi Vietnamese Cafe is a small place with only few seating place. Finding parking here is kinda hard too.
The effort put in getting here is worth it, in my opinion. The service here is good and the environment is nice. I like the many choice of food that they have here too.
I have always love the food in Vietnam but i have never try any Vietnam food here in Penang so i am kinda curious and interested to know how will these Vietnamese food taste like locally here. Will they be able to replicate the taste of those sold in Vietnam.
Bun Thit Nuong (Regular : RM 10.00, Large : RM 12.50)
Bun Thit Nuong is Vietnam BBQ Pork Chop with Fried Popiah and Dry Noodle, the pork is a little bit hard but i still enjoy eating this place of Bun Thit Nuong. The sauce that comes with it is sweet and it give more flavor to the entire bowl of Bun Thit Nuong !
Com Ga Nuong (Regular : RM 10.00, Large : RM 12.00)
If you are a rice person then Com Ga Nuong here at Que Huong Toi Vietnamese Cafe will definitely do the trick. Com Ga Nuong is Vietnam BBQ Chicken Drumstick with Rice. There is not much ingredient being put onto this plate of rice. At one glance, you can actually see everything that is on the plate. The tomato, cucumber, chicken, carrot and rice. This plate of rice is average but the BBQ Chicken is big enough.
Cha Gio Chien (Min Order 2 Pcs, RM 2.80 / piece)
People say eating Vietnamese food means you must try their Cha Gio Chien which is Vietnam Deep Fried Popiah. Though i am not a fan of Deep Fried Popiah because i would prefer those vegetables Popiah with soft skin and prawn in it but i still go ahead and try Que Huong Toi Vietnamese Cafe fried Popiah. The outer layer of the Popiah is crunchy though the skin is a little bit hard but still manageable.
Cafe Sua Da (Hot : RM 4.80, Cold : RM 4.60)
If you have read my Vietnam Travel Post before then you would probably notice that i never try this type of drip Vietnamese Coffee before. It is not that i don't want to try but it is because i can't find it anywhere in Danang or even Hanoi. It start to make me thing, it this type of drinks are made famous by tourist ? Do locals actually drink coffee this way ? Anyway, Cafe Sua Da is Vietnam Milk Coffee. The Milk Coffee here is serve in the drip container. This is what i believe to be something special from Vietnam. When ever people talk about Vietnam Coffee this is the first thing people mention then only their quality, haha !
