Penang Food and Travel (#pfnt) Spring Festival 2019 @ Design Village Outlet Mall, Batu Kawan, Penang

It was from 29 March 2019 until 31 March 2019, where Design Village Outlet Mall were brought to life again when Penang Food and Travel (#pfnt) organized a Spring Festival of Food, Shop, Stay and Play at Design Village Food Street.

Celebrating Penang Food and Travel 2nd year Anniversary of establishment, this year, they celebrate it by using 'Spring' as their main theme. Spring being one of the four seasons, is the season of blossoming, abundance in life and enriching the cheerful spirit for everyone. By using #PFNT as the Social Media hashtag to represent Penang Food and Travel, they are making a mark, not only in the Social Media but during the Spring Festival itself.

Penang Food and Travel (PFNT) is a free digital and monthly printed publication that highlights dining and travelling around Penang. PFNT magazine is all about scrumptious foods, be it street food or fine dining, exclusively for their readers. In addition, they also provide up-to-date lists of local attractions, accommodations together with monthly highlights available for guests travelling to the Pearl of the Orient, one of the most-visited state in Malaysia.

The PFNT Spring Festival is an event that aims to bring people from all walks of life together to enjoy the Spring Festival. At the Festival everyone were given the opportunity to enjoy drinks, food, games, live bands performance, lucky draws and some cool workshops. PFNT are proud to have Design Village Outlet Mall, which has won the Malaysia Landscape Architecture Awards 2017, as their venue sponsor.

Here at the Spring Festival, participating company owner can obtain a booth to showcase their product, food or services to visitors. There were some notable hotel, cafe and tourist attraction spot there to showcase their product, like Berjaya Penang Hotel, Merry Me Ice Cream, Mellowcup Coffee, Apple Fox, Entopia and more.

Upon registration to the Spring Festival, PFNT Giveaway Goodies Bag to every visitor who ‘LIKE and SHARE’ Penang Food and Travel (@pgfoodandtravel) and ‘Check-In’ to Design Village Outlet Mall Social Media Page through scanning the QR code. Other than that, PFNT also host a Social Media Post Contest where visitors can stand a chance to win a 2D1N stay at 5-star-hotel, buffet voucher, entrance ticket to Penang famous local attraction and more by just taking a nice photo during the event, post it to Social Media. PFNT hype things up by giving out more gift to those who spend at the Spring Festival. Spend and accumulate stamps for a chance of a lucky draw.

There are also activities for those who would like to let their creativity flow. Workshops like Brush Lettering Workshop, Parent + Child Mini Flower Basket Workshop and Paint Pop-Art Meow and Sip were arranged by PFNT. Participants can bring home what they have created during the workshops as their own personal collection.

Famous local Penang food were also features during the Spring Festival, visitors can fill up their tummy at the Food Fest, enjoying local delicacies such as Char Koay Teow, Rojak, Hokkien Mee, Ice Kacang, Laksa and more.

Bandwagon 22 and Acidic Bunch! band also made a special appearance at the PFNT Spring Festival to 'wow' the crowd with their Live performances, performing some of those famous classics hits and some new trending songs. Crowds were singing along to the band while enjoying drinks with friends and family. Awesome performance from the band end the three days Spring Festival with a high note. Looking forward to another series of Festival from Penang Food and Travel next year.
