As Malaysia is moving into the Recovery Movement Control from the Covid-19 pandemic, more and more restriction imposed by the Malaysia Government has been lifted so that people can move around from places to places visiting families and friends at the same time to release stress and boredom from staying home for months long. Though movement may not be restricted now, G Hotel is still taking all safety measure in paving way for the new hospitality norm, G Hotel welcomes back tourists and business travellers by redefining their on going cleaning and safety standards, implementing strict preventive measures in line with the Standard Operating Procedures set by the Malaysian Government.
The Standard Operating Procedure is being implemented even at the entrance itself. When arriving at G Hotel’s main entrance, all guests will need to get temperature checks with the facial recognition temperature machine of which G Hotel is one of the only few hotels having this machine, hand sanitized at the automatic hand sanitizing station and scan the unique QR code for contact tracing purposes.
Then upon entering the hotel, social distancing stickers can be seen on the floor as well as health and hygiene reminders displayed throughout to inform and educate guests on the importance of keeping a good personal hygiene at all time. Guests can now check-in online through G Hotel’s official website prior to arrival and collect the room keys from the reception after filling in a health and travel declaration form.
After serving each guest, reception staffs are entrusted to sanitize surfaces, stationaries, front-desk screens and key cards before assisting guests. Public areas throughout the hotel are also disinfected at regular intervals to prevent the spread of bacteria. Rooms in G Hotel go through the highest levels of sanitization with Housekeeping teams geared in proper Personal Protective Equipment when performing daily tasks. All surfaces including high-touch points are being disinfected daily using germicidal disinfectant and wipes. Guests can be rest assured that towels and mattresses are treated with anti-bacterial chemicals and changed daily. All air conditioning filters and air ducts are constantly cleaned to maintain healthy air quality indoors. Water system throughout the hotel is regularly tested to prevent the spread of bacteria.
As the hotel eases into Recovery Movement Control Order phase, G Hotel has come up with room packages that can be found on their official website. The latest 'Hello Staycation, Bye Isolation' room package at only RM 399.00 nett per night entitles guest to a complimentary ala-carte breakfast for two and a choice of set lunch or dinner with access to gym and swimming pool that is sanitized regularly with PH levels in pools maintained at around 7.2 - 7.8.
While for food enthusiasts, enjoy delicious 4-course Set Meals, Afternoon Tea and A la carte options in the famous Taste Cafe. Not forgetting the Happy Hour promo that is available all day long like the Buy 1 Free 1 on all house pours and wine, 10 glasses of beer for only RM 110.00 nett and all snacks at only RM 15.00 nett.
Entering Taste Cafe, guests will notice social distancing stickers and hand sanitizers placed at the restaurant counter, this is for the convenient of guest to sanitize their hands and to estimate the distance that they need to be apart in line. The service associates, appropriately attired with face masks, will usher guests to their respective tables which has been realigned to provide a minimum of 2-metre distance between tables that are constantly cleaned and disinfected thoroughly. Physical menus have been replaced by QR codes through guest’s digital devices to access restaurant menus and in-room dining, this is to avoid physical contact on physical hardcover menu.
In addition, G Hotel has come up with food takeaway and delivery options such as their RM 15.00 only Best Sellers takeaways, Family Feast, Chef’s Favourites menu, Imperial Chinese Set and the latest being Grab and Go Breakfast Set to provide guests with 5-star experience of dining in the comfort of their home and office. All these Sets and menu are specially design for guest's convenience.
Temperature tags of service associates involved in the preparation of food is included in each takeaway for safety assurance and also to give guest a peace of mind when dining with G Hotel. Besides, G Hotel is also the only hotel offering drive thru laundry service. To cater for the MICE market, G Hotel has launched 'Meetings With Confidence' package that starts at an affordable rate of RM 68.00 nett for a half-day meeting designed to fit the new norm of conferences.
