Penang’s biggest and most exciting food celebration is back again! The Penang International Food Festival (PIFF) returns with its highly anticipated PIFF @ Tanjong 2025, promising an even bigger, bolder and more flavourful experience that celebrates the best of Penang’s food, culture and community spirit.
After the overwhelming success of last years two day event, this year’s festival has grown into a six day celebration across three weekends, bringing the heart and soul of Penang’s culinary and cultural heritage to life in five iconic venues.
Here is where all the delicious action will take place :
• 1 – 2 November at Sia Boey and Armenian Park
• 8 – 9 November at Hin Bus Depot and Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal
• 15 – 16 November at Beach Street, the grand finale
This grand celebration is made possible through the strong support and collaboration of the Penang State Government, with special thanks to YB Wong Hon Wai, EXCO for Tourism and Creative Economy, whose dedication helped bring this festival to life.
PIFF @ Tanjong 2025 is all about celebrating Penang’s greatest pride its food while also showcasing Tanjong’s vibrant identity as a living heritage and cultural hub. Each festival venue holds its own charm and story :
• Sia Boey which is once a bustling market, now beautifully rejuvenated.
• Armenian Park a peaceful green space nestled in the heart of the heritage zone.
• Hin Bus Depot (COEX @ Kilang Besi) is a thriving hub of creativity, culture and art.
• Swettenham Pier Cruise Terminal the gateway that connects Penang to the world.
• Beach Street is one of George Town’s oldest streets where history and modern life meet.
But it is not just about the food! Visitors can explore more of what Penang has to offer from thrill rides at KOMTAR, UNESCO heritage walks beginning from Armenian Park, art markets at Hin Bus Depot, the living heritage of the Clan Jetties near Swettenham Pier and the majestic Fort Cornwallis at Beach Street, now made even more captivating with its newly restored moat and the scenic Esplanade promenade.
As Malaysia prepares for Visit Malaysia Year 2026, PIFF @ Tanjong 2025 sets the perfect stage to showcase Penang’s charm to the world not only as a food paradise but also as a destination where culture, creativity, and community come together in perfect harmony.
Heartfelt appreciation goes out to all the sponsors, the Penang Island City Council (MBPP) and Penang Global Tourism (PGT) for their full support, with Dreamz Productions Events Management proudly serving as the Festival Manager.
Everyone is warmly invited locals, Malaysians and international visitors alike to come and be part of this vibrant celebration. So come hungry, come curious and come celebrate the flavours, stories and spirit of Penang!
