Restoran Qasar Hadramawt @ Bandar Perda, Penang

By : Chha

Restoran Qasar Hadramawt is said to be the best Yameni and Arabic Cuisine in town. Well, with that said, i feel that i need to try this and so i went ! haha !

Ordering the food here seems a little bit tricky for me, therefore i end up getting help from friends who are familiar with Arabic and Yameni Cuisine, hahaha ! When the food is served it all looks almost the same to me.

Most of it are just Arabic Rice plus either Chicken, Beef or Lamb and it all come in really huge portion. One big plate like this takes us around 3 person to finish it.

Though the rice looks almost the same but they have different name to it, haha ! I am confuse as well actually with the name and what type of rice with what type of meat that is used actually. O.O'' the entire time during the order, haha !

The rice is big and long, haha ! That is just how the Arabic rice looks like but it taste nice, i like it, haha ! Actually if you ask me, what is so special with the rice serve here ? Well, i would say, other that the special looking rice, nothing is special about it. It is ordinary rice served with chicken, lamb or beef. What i like is the rice not oily.

Taste of the rice is much better with Restoran Qasar Hadramawt special type of sauce.

Overall i would say that the food here is good and the environment is clean. Service is good too. If you are really into Arabic food, then it is worth trying out Restoran Qasar Hadramawt. The food here is HALAL as well.

Before i write any further, i would like to introduce their very special Curry Bun which i love the most !

This Curry Bun is special because the outer layer of the bun is really crunchy but the inside part of it is super soft ! Special and tasty. If you dip the bun into the curry, it will soke up all the curry making it even more tasty. This particular Curry Bun is made famous by their chef Master Choo and was featured in Master Choo Kitchen as well.

Lately, this little yellow salted duck egg bun from Hong Kong is becoming really famous in Malaysia and they have it here in Dai You Bin Restaurant. The salted duck egg bun taste special, haha ! The filling is really salty, haha ! i like this ..

Kampung Cina | China Town @ Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu

By : Chha

In Kuala Terengganu there is a place famously known as the China Town of Kuala Terengganu or Kampung Cina as the locals would call it. China town is located along Jalan Bandar in Kuala Terengganu city center at the river mouth of Terengganu River that empties into the South China Sea. Kuala Terengganu Chinatown is one of Southeast Asia’s early Chinese settlements and contains stately ancestral homes, temples, townhouses, and business establishments. The town is small but has colourful shop houses along both sides of the road that carries traditional flavor. The Chinese built the traditionally designed shop houses according to their place of origin in China. The buildings have been declared a heritage site by the United Nations UNESCO World Monument Watch Programme and grants are being given annually to finance preservation of this pre-colonial heritage significant. [3D2N] Lang Tengah Island @ Terengganu, Malaysia

By : Chha

Have few days of holiday to burn ? But don't know where to go ? How about a trip to the beautiful Lang Tengah Island ? Lang Tengah is an island off the coast of Terengganu, Malaysia. It is located roughly halfway between Pulau Redang and Pulau Perhentian and is connected to the mainland by ferries from Merang Jetty.

A few note before you get into Lang Tengah Island. If you are using malaysian phone service provider, only Celcom have coverage at Lang Tengah, so if you plan to buy a sim card, get Celcom for Lang Tengah. Well i am not using Celcom and only notice this when i am already in Lang Tengah. Secondly, not every resort will provide you with Wifi service. The one i stay in does not provide any as their main purpose is for you to sit back, relax and lost yourself in the beautiful island and just disconnect yourself from the hectic world out there, which i think is good as i was totally disconnect from the outside world for 3 days !! A new record for me though, haha ! No phone calls, no internet, no facebook, no blogging, no nothing ! Just eat, sleep, swim and relax ! Heaven ~~ haha !

Aboong @ Queens Street, Queensbay Mall

By : Chha

Aboong 아붕 is a franchise originated from Seoul, South Korea. The name 'Aboong' is translated from the Korean language where it is the combination of the word Ice Cream and Bungeoppang. Bungeoppang is a traditional Korean pastry or also known as a Fish Bun. Aboong 아붕 is now finally in Penang and i can tell Penang people are going crazy over it, haha ! Why ? I takes me around 15 minutes of lining up to place my order and another 1 hour 30 minutes to get my order, the place is flooded with people trying to get their hands on this Korean fish bun cakes, bungeoppangs, which is turned into a soft waffle stuffed with yogurt ice cream. The long wait is probably due to Aboong being still new and everyone is trying to grab a taste of it and also it was during peak hour.
