Yay, another Dak Galbi (닭갈비) food to add in the list ! haha .. well, this is the all famous and always full with customer lining up waiting for seat Dak Galbi chain korean restaurant Uncle Jang ! haha .. ever since the day Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant start operating in Penang, a lot of people is going crazy over Dak Galbi, lining up at Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant waiting for seat to try out their Dak Galbi. We might be a little bit late with this post because it seems like already a lot of people tried it before, haha ! Anyway, it is never too late for something ..

Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant is situated at Vantage, Penang near to Tesco Tanjong Tokong, in the same row of shops with another korean restaurant serving Dak Galbi as well which is the 春川 ChunCheon Korean Food Restaurant.

Uncle Jang Korean Restaurant is more cooling inside with big fan and strong air cooler to keep the surrounding cold in order to counter the heat from the cooking of Dak Galbi. The service from the waiter is prompt and good, they will greet you before they take order and when you leave Uncle Jang. The food serving is fast too so we don't have to wait long from the moment our order were taken until the food is serve on our table.

Though Uncle Jang is famous for its Spicy Chicken BBQ call Dak Galbi, they do serve other food as well like :

Chicken Bulgogi RM22.00
SamgyeTang RM19.00

from the menu to choose from.

Apart from that you will be given kimchi, onion, vegetables and a type of sauce.

The Dak Galbi you can choose to have serving for either :

Uncle Jang Dak Galbi is tasty and the Original Spicy is already spicy enough for us, unless you are good at eating spicy food then it should be not a problem for you to order Super Spicy. Don't worry, they have free flow of plain water, haha !

Kim Laksa @ Kim Seng Kopitiam, Balik Pulau

By : Chha

Being famous for its laksa, Kim Seng Kopitiam is building a strong reputation for serving the best laska in Balik Pulau, Penang, well that is what we heard, haha ! So we went and give it a try ..

Being famously call as Kim Laksa, this place is serving 3 type of laksa which is the Asam Laksa, Laksa Lemak and Mix Laksa (Asam Laksa & Laksa Lemak). To us they all physically looks the same.

Kim Asam Laksa RM 4.00

So does it really live up to its name for being the best laksa in Balik Pulau, Penang ? Well, this is what we think after trying Kim Laksa. The laksa here taste good but we won't say that this is the best laksa because we can still find other laksa which is almost as good as Kim Laksa. So is it worth trying ? Yes, we feel it is worth if you happen to be at Balik Pulau area but it is not worth just to drive all the way up hill for a bowl of laksa.

The one we are showing here is the new location of Kim Laksa as they have moved away from the old location which is in Balik Pulau town area.

So how to find the new location ? Drive all the way up to Balik Pulau town and you will see a small round about, so if you are coming from Relau or Paya Terubong area, then you will need to take the 2nd exit of the round about, then drive straight for around 2 to 3 km until you come to Bandar Baru Air Puteh, you will see a sign board on your right. Turn right and drive straight until you see a row of shops on your right, Kim Laksa is in the same row of the shop.

Other than selling Laksa, Kim Seng Kopitiam also selling Fried Koay Tiau and Nutmag drinks.

Starbucks Batu Feringghi @ Batu Ferringhi, Penang

By : Chha

Calling all Starbucks fans ! There is this new outlet open at Batu Feringghi, Penang. Unlike other Starbuck around Penang Island, this one is directly connected to the Batu Feringghi beach where you can enjoy the beach while drinking your favorite Starbucks Coffee.

It is really hot especially in the afternoon to around 6 or 7pm in the evening because Malaysia is always hot, haha ! Another thing is because part of this Starbucks is made of transparent glass which allow sun shining into it.

The design of this outlet is really nice, with seating place inside and outside. This Batu Feringghi Starbucks have a lot of seating place but it is mostly full probably due to it being still new so a lot of people come to enjoy their Starbucks Coffee in this new and nice environment.

Well for coffee, nothing new, it is still the Starbucks standard we would call it .. the same for every outlet, the only thing special about Batu Feringghi Starbucks is, it is by the beach. Oh, not to forget, Batu Feringghi Starbucks have a small corner where they sell T-Shirt, Mug, Pen and some bags.

It is not hard to find Batu Feringghi Starbucks, just drive all the way to Batu Feringghi until you come to a row of restaurants on your right if you are coming from Tanjung Bungah, Penang area. You will see a big Starbucks signboard right outside of Batu Feringghi Starbucks.

LaserOPS Laser Tag Arena @ First Avenue, Penang

By : Chha

We have heard of laser tag game for many many years now but it was only available in Kuala Lumpur. It was kinda disappointing for us because as a war game enthusiastic we are really itching or should we say 'dying' to try laser tag game. Ever since Paintball game become slowly cold off, we were not able to find any war or tactical game that people will actually play with us instead of worrying about getting pain and colours ! Well to us, no pain no game .. haha ! so to us, the more the pain the better .. haha ! That is probably why we call it as Painball instead of Paintball, haha ! Seriously, if there is any new, nice and awesome Painball arena up in Penang, do let us know ! we will definitely go try it out .. email us at pinkypigletland@yahoo.com or get in touch with us via facebook Pinky Piglet Land.

Ok ! so before we stray off further talking non-stop of our love for Painball, we were really excited when we get to know that LaserOPS is opening up an Indoor Laser Tag Arena in First Avenue Penang. We went crazzzzzyyy ! we make this a must play game of the year, haha ! We are not sure if LaserOPS is the first to set up a laser tag arena in Penang or not but we are sure there are still other laser tag arena in Penang, one in Gurney Plaza and another one soon to be open in Queensbay Mall. We definitely will go conquer all arena, haha ! Just like what we did for Break The Code and Painball game when they first hit Penang Island, constantly trying our new place and new game. Awesome ! Piglets got to do what Piglets got to do .. ! haha .. !

Opss, now back to our Laser Tag game again .. Ehem .. hopefully we don't stray off from topic again.

So, laser tag game is something like a shooting game but they call it as tagging game where you will be given a set of vest with colourful receiver and a phasor as a transmitter. You are required to wear the receiver and shoot with the phasor. If your receiver is hit by your opponent phasor then you are consider dead at the war zone. This game is fun and suitable for those who want to experience war game like painball but don't want to get dirty and pain.

The LaserOPS arena can accommodate up to 28 players per mission and players will be divided into two team which is the Red and the Green Team.

The game is relatively easy, every game there will be a mission that the players will have to acknowledge so that players know what mission to accomplish. In short, just go in and shoot shoot shoot to get points according to mission and the player or team with the highest points win !

Before every mission start the marshal will give briefing on the mission and most importantly the rules of laser tag game to keep you safe and the game fun. The marshal will also be teaching you on how to use the phasor and what type of mode there is available to use. So don't worry if you are a beginner, the marshal will help.

Ever player will have to at least register once before start playing so remember to put in your email address to receive your personal laser tag score after the game in your email.

The price for the LaserOPS Laser Tag Game is something like this :

Restoran Taman Pringsewu @ Yogyakarta, Indonesia

By : Chha

Restoran Taman Pringsewu, Yogyakarta in Indonesia is a restaurant operating on the concept of restaurant in a garden. This restaurant is a big restaurant which allow you to dine in a garden type environment.

Its open space dining experience allow its customer to dine closer to nature, haha !

But if you prefer to dine in a more enclose place, there is still hut-like seating place which is also comfortable.

This place is huge, with a lot of seating place, so we feel there is no worry on not being able to find a table.

While for the food, some are tasty, some are not, especially their drinks, it is too sweet ...

Sayur Lodeh Pinggir Sawah IDR 20 K
(Mixed Vegetables With Coconut Milk)

This vegetable with coconut is tasty, well at least we like it, haha ! The coconut milk is very mild, it does not make us feel like we are actually eating drinking coconut milk and the vegetable mix well together.

Sayur Asem IDR 10 K

Sayur Asem has a little bit of sour taste, it tasted ok but we don't really like it.

Ayam Bakar Penyet IDR 23 K
(Grilled Spicy Chicken)

The grilled chicken is tasty especially the outer layer of the chicken, it taste good.

Ayam Goreng Penyet IDR 23 K
(Fried Spicy Chicken)

This is just ok, the chicken is a bit hard, it makes us tired chewing the chicken, hahaha !

Nasi Putih

Overall, the food here is just ok but we really like the nice environment here and there is WiFi available.
