The Loft Boutique Hostel & Hotel @ Paris, France

By : Chha

Bonjour ! This is how you greet people in Paris. Visiting Paris means you will need to find a place to stay. Finding a place to stay there is really a headache for me as the price of the hotel or even hostel are way over my tight budget, like really, my really really tight budget.

The Loft Boutique Hostel And Hotel

Getting There :
  • Take Paris Metro from any station and stop at Belleville Station.
  • Walk out from the station and turn left.
  • Walk straight until the third junction and turn right.
  • Walk for around 100 meters.
  • The Loft Boutique Hostel And Hotel is on the left.

Room Rate :

Room Type : Deluxe 8 Bed Mixed Ensuite
Room Rate : € 19.93 Including Tax / Person

The Loft Boutique Hostel And Hotel have few different types of room but since i am traveling alone, i choose the dorm type of room with 8 beds. There are also room for two and four. For ladies who prefer to have room with only female allowed is also available.

The room here is small and a bit crowded. It is actually kinda hard to walk around in the room but that is fine for me because the bed is comfortable and clean. Each room has it own bath room which is also clean. Loft Boutique Hostel And Hotel provide locker service inside every room which is really convenience and its free. You might need to put in some coins to use the locker but you will get the refund after using it.

Loft Boutique Hostel And Hotel is not a big place but i love its nice, comfortable and soothing environment. The staff at the front desk is helpful and friendly as well. I arrived at the Loft at around 7 in the morning which is way too early for check in so i leave my bag in their temporary luggage storage area which is locked and each bag is given a paper tag to be placed onto the bag as to identify who the owner is. This makes me feel safe leaving my bag there and be care-free when out visiting Paris ! haha ..

Breakfast is also provided. The breakfast here is simple but it is good enough for me.

I really recommend this place if you are visiting Paris. The location of The Loft is just a few minutes walk away from Paris Metro and is near to restaurant so there is no problem looking for food at night but most of the restaurant here close early at around 9 pm, so do plan your time well.

Wat Khuad (Glass Temple) @ Songkhla, Thailand

By : Chha

Travelling alone in Thailand or any foreign country is really hard, especially the language barrier. Wat Khuad is located in the province of Songkhla and finding this little hidden temple is hard. So i end up taking tour guide instead. Plus the area surrounding Wat Khuad does not have any public transport that you can just flag down anytime. Getting the actual name correctly is a struggle as well. So i would suggest you to get a tour guide as well, it really make things much easier and life happier, hahaha !

Wat Khuad, the name says it all, which means Glass Temple ! This place is not abandon but kinda like hidden from public. Not really a big place but it is unique.

The entire Wat Khuad is being build by using glass bottle, that makes Wat Khuad looks colourful.

This temple is still fully functional, you can still come here and pray if you want to.

Wat Khuad is worth a visit for its uniqueness and nice bulding build by using glass. It is nice for photography as well. Pay a visit, if you have time when visiting Thailand on your next trip.

Spade's Burger @ i-Avenue, Penang

By : Chha

Local burger chain food business is going strong for a few years now. There is so many burger store that is opening up right now. Burger is no longer the road side hawker food, well of course by not taking the world famous McDonalds into consideration, haha ! That is a total different story.

To my understanding, Spade's Burger have a few outlet. The other one i know is in Raja Uda while the one i went to is in i-Avenue near Bukit Jambul area.

There are many choice of burger to choose from at Spade's Burger.

Baconizer Burger (RM 15.80)

Every burger here is given special name to it. Like the one i order, it is given the name Baconizer, haha ! it is actually layers of Caramelised Bacon, Cheese Crisp, Cheddar and Bacon.

Porky Pair 2.0 (RM 13.00)

The Porky Pair 2.0 Burger is made from layers of Caramelised Bacon, Cheese Crisp, Cheddar and their Spades Sauce. The burger here taste nice. Most of the meat here comes in three type, you can either choose chicken, pork or beef.

You can choose either to only order a burger or you can make it into a complete set with fries and a soft carbonated drinks which only cost an additional of RM 5.50

The environment in Spade's Burger is simple, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to relax and have a nice tasty burger.

Asian Cultural Village @ Dannok, Thailand

By : Chha

I don't really know what is the actual name for this place because there are a few place with almost the same name, some are new and some are old, ok anyway, lets not confuse ourselves any further, Lets just call this the Asian Cultural Village of Dannok, haha, well that is what was told to me. If you have been to I-City, Shah Alam then you would probably know how this Asian Cultural Village is. It looks something like I-City with beautiful and colourful lighting.

Just a few minutes drive away from the Malaysia - Thailand border, this Asian Cultural Village is getting a lot of attention from tourist every where especially those from Malaysia and China.

This place is divided into a few sections. Each section having different themes and design. For example like The Animal World, The Panda, The Dinosaur Park and a lot more.

My personal favorite it the Panda area, haha ! So many panda, so many so many panda ! omg !

There is also the Love Lock area here, but since it is still new, there are not many locks available yet. To those love birds out there, if you want to be the first few to put up a lock here, now is the chance, haha ! Well, as for me, i am only here for photos, haha !

The cowboy town looks awesome as well ..

The 18 Lohan area, i love the colourful dragon ..

Basically, this area here is more for photography, there is not much physical activities that can be done and i didn't notice any place for food as well, so i come here to take photos only ... but it is nice there though.

Asian Cultural Village is a huge area but we where not allow to drive our car into the Asian Cultural Village area, we have to park our car outside and walk in. It takes us around 2 to 3 hours of slow walk and taking photos.

Well, since Asian Cultural Village in Dannok is near to Malaysia - Thailand border, it is worth a visit plus, going over here is considered as going overseas also you know ? hahaha ! If you are worried about getting lost or not being able to find Asian Cultural Village, you can always hire a tour guide and leave all the thinking and finding the place to the tour guide, it would be easier that way.
